School uniforms for sixty children at a Baneshwor orphanage

On 27th May 2016, DWSWN coordinator Samjhana Pokhrel and interns Bidish Acharya and Asmita Subedi visited New Nepal Society Center, an orphanage home for 60 children situated in Baneswor-34, Kathmandu. The children residing in the orphanage are having problem attending their schools due to lack of proper school uniforms. DWSWN handed over NRs. 25000 to the founder of the orphanage for facilitating the students with their school uniform.

The orphanage has 60 children of various ages from various family background and they all live together in a small rented building coping with various health, mental and social issues.

Students seemed really happy, and were delighted to interact with us. Some of them sang, told jokes, and mesmerized us with their cheerful nature.
